Moog Animatics' SmartMotor™ is capable of being a master controller to both other SmartMotor™ servos and other devices. As a result, the motors can often become a replacement to PLCs or other controllers in a system.
At a minimum, when the SmartMotor™ is added to an existing system as an extension to a machine design, it may only require minimal hand shaking with the main controller while independently maintaining its own subsystem control.
